Ken is an accomplished photographer, known for his work in wildlife, nature and human interest photography from the Iowa State University Extension in Marion County, Iowa as well as feature articles published in the local Pella Chronicle, the Knoxsville Journal Express and the Red Rock Lake News.

Ken was also recognized by the City of Tempe, AZ for his Instagrammy photo submission in the "Bridges of Tempe" category and received the "Achievement in Originality" award from the editorial staff at Viewbug for his fall image of Tallulah Gorge, Georgia.
